Creative Nation is a music publishing and management company owned by Luke and Beth Laird, and home to some of music's top songwriters and producers. They are committed to helping people become the best versions of themselves by valuing their unique talent. The company has partnerships with Universal Music Publishing Group and Pulse Recording, and is based in Nashville, TN. Luke Laird has had twelve #1 singles and has written for some of music's biggest artists including: Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Hunter Hayes, Ne-Yo, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Little Big Town, John Legend, and many others. Beth Laird is a music publishing executive with work experience at BMG Music Publishing, Windswept Music Publishing, and most recently in writer/publisher relations at BMI. In 2011, she was named one of Billboard Magazine's "30 Under 30 Power Players to Watch" and in 2013 she received the prestigious honor of being one of Music Row's Rising Women on the Row. Together they are an unstoppable team that has a unique approach to publishing and management and aims to consistently deliver interesting music to the world.



Prior to launching Creative Nation, Beth Mason Laird was Director of Writer/Publisher Relations at BMI, where she created new opportunities for performing songwriters like BMI Buzz and East Side Sounds. Most recently, Beth has been selected to be a part of the 2014 Leadership Music Class. She developed the Belmont University internship experience "BMI Catalog Cast" for the Top 10 outstanding Seniors, and she pioneered the "BMI Live" payment program which launched in January 2011. In its short tenure, Creative Nation has had numerous songs recorded by major label artists, as well as song placements in motion pictures, and the theme song for ConAgra's "Child Hunger Ends Here" campaign.

Beth Mason Laird is an alumnus of the Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID). She served as a Gospel Music Association board member from 2010-2011 and currently serves on the advisory board for the Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP). Her biggest community passion is the music production program she started with her husband Luke for underprivileged children at Preston Taylor Ministries, where she currently serves as a board member.


Jeff Skaggs joined the Creative Nation team in July 2014. He is a 2003 graduate of MTSU’s Music Business program, and his first job was in the mailroom at DreamWorks Records in Nashville. After DreamWorks merged with MCA Records and Mercury Records, he found his footing at Mighty Isis Music. Skaggs would eventually become instrumental in helping open Kobalt Music’s office in Nashville, where over the past 9 years he helped grow Kobalt to include some of Nashville’s best including: Lady Antebellum, Kelly Clarkson, Ashley Monroe, Big & Rich, Jessi Alexander, Radney Foster, Shane McAnally, Steve Moakler, and more.



Kelsey Granda is from Coppell, Texas and graduated from Belmont University in May of 2012. Immediately after graduation, she landed her first job in the music business as the Catalog Assistant at BMG Chrysalis Nashville. In January, she was promoted to Creative Manager and began overseeing the song delivery process, working closely with the creative staff as well as the songwriters.

Prior to her time at BMG, Kelsey interned at Combustion Music Publishing, CMT, Big Machine, Creative Nation, and Ten out of Tenn. She was also selected to be apart of Belmont's first One-on-One Mentorship Program, as well as the 2012 BMI Catalog Cast.
